The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The celebrated game designer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, as reported by.
