In the intensely cutthroat world of gaming, it's usual for emerging rivals to fade away as rapidly as they enter the stage.
But this new installment is hoping to change that.
This is the newest release in a long-running military shooter franchise commonly described as a more authentic answer to the CoD series.
The title has not quite managed to match its top competitor in aspects of units sold or gamers, but evidence points to the recent entry could close the gap.
A trial weekend allowing players a opportunity to test the release in recent months set new benchmarks, and the buzz leading up to its release has been massive.
However the project is nevertheless a major risk for publisher Electronic Arts, which has according to sources invested hundreds of millions of funds making it.
Reporters have communicated to some of the makers to discover how they aim it will be profitable.
Creation Group and Company Collaboration
A total of four studios have been working on the game under the collaborative umbrella.
They include long-time producer the Swedish studio, based in Europe, LA's Motive Studios and the Canadian studio in the Great White North.
Another, Criterion, is based in the UK.

Learning From Earlier Shortcomings
The new release arrives after the back of the sci-fi Battlefield 2042, launched four years ago to a unfavorable feedback it had difficulty to overcome.
"We probably would not be able to create and produce the latest entry without the insights we acquired in the previous title," the manager shares with us.
Among those insights was to get fans engaged early, and the team initiated exclusive community trials not long ago.
The "response was explosively positive," comments Rebecka.
A further absent ingredient from the last game was a solo experience, which has been reintroduced for this release.
The Guildford team project head the design director is the person in charge of "ensuring those stages are as entertaining and engaging as feasible for the gamers."
Regardless of allegations that the scale of the game had challenged the various developers working together across continents to build the title, he is upbeat about the process.
"Working with diverse backgrounds, varied heritages, it's a truly interesting environment to be engaged with on a regular basis," he explains.
"This whole approach has been an innovation but also very thrilling because we are partnering with individuals from internationally."
As for the expectation on the crew, the director says: "We experience demand but also it's exciting.
"This is a big project. It's arguably the biggest that the majority of the team have previously participated in."
Emerging Artist Contributes Fresh Insight
This is absolutely correct of at least an individual developer, lighting artist Vlad Kokhan.
The recent hire makes the lighting elements that shape the mood, style, and narrative of the solo experience.
The artist finished an training period at the developer prior to obtaining a job at the company, and currently works with reduced hours while completing his digital arts studies at Bournemouth University.
Vlad says he's a long-time enthusiast of the franchise, and remembers experiencing the earlier title of the franchise at a buddy's place when he was younger.
To be on it at present, as his first professional role, "doesn't feel real."
"It's truly crazy observing the marketing everywhere," he says.
"Understanding that I've put my individual work into the project is really surreal."
Debut Predictions and Ongoing Strategies
This title's release is expected to be a significant occasion, with observers predicting it could distribute as many as five million {copies|units|versions
