Real Madrid brought in Trent Alexander-Arnold with a multi-year deal

Trent Alexander-Arnold's rehabilitation is advancing well, giving hope that the Madrid defender might be fit in time to face his previous club Liverpool in the upcoming European encounter.

The 27-year-old player sustained a hamstring problem during a match against Ligue 1 side Marseille in the group stage of the competition on September 16.

Alexander-Arnold had to leave the field in the early stages, with initial estimates pointing to a potential layoff of around six weeks.

Real Madrid are set to play at Liverpool on November 4 for the European match—just seven weeks since the incident occurred.

Insiders familiar with the player's condition state that the player's comeback is advancing well, and there is hope that Alexander-Arnold might make his initial return to Liverpool's stadium since signing for Real Madrid in June.

A longtime Liverpool fan, Alexander-Arnold earlier stated that departing from the team he joined as a six-year-old academy player was the "toughest choice he's ever taken."

After joining to Madrid, Alexander-Arnold has featured five times across all competitions, logging 156 minutes of action.
