It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defense and Allen trying to do too much to dig his team from the situation - rather than the composed, disciplined, well-balanced Buffalo team we've seen this season

The Dolphins have served up a bit of everything this year so the jury's out on whether this is the start of a trend, but for Buffalo they'll require an instant response in a tough game against the Buccaneers next week as the Patriots are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the American Football Conference East

Speaking of the Patriots, they're one of three eight and two teams in the league, all AFC sides, but could they be the best?

Although you can debate who 'the best' is technically, the Patriots should be favorites to finish with the top record due to their schedule - which features just a single matchup against a winning team, albeit a significant contest against the Bills

Visiting Baltimore is also tough, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West with the Chiefs to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also challenge for top seed but face the identical challenge) and also the Packers on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also play the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two matchups with the 5-4 Jacksonville to contend with. There is a considerable distance to travel but the door is available for a shock number one position in the American Football Conference
