Actor Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Stance After Lending His Voice To Controversial Coronavirus Documentary

The "Taken" star has lent his narration to a feature-length documentary that questions the legitimacy of vaccines and commends one-time government figure the political figure.

The Documentary's Provocative Basis

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is adapted from a popular book written by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the health crisis for claims that the virus was linked to a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

Her co-author, a producer, has previously authored books with controversial media personality a known commentator. Heckenlively took to social media celebrating Neeson's involvement in the documentary.

An Unequivocal Rebuttal

A spokesperson for the actor have provided a response pushing back against implications that he holds anti-vax beliefs.

"Everyone can recognize that corruption may occur within the medical sector, but that must not be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the response states. "He never has been, and remains not, anti-vax. His considerable work with the global charity reinforces his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

It noted that the performer did not shape the film's messaging and that concerns about its claims should be directed to the producers.

Key Themes Within the Feature

In the film, the script spoken by Neeson includes several controversial claims:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to public institutions.
  • It argues that "research has become deeply politicised."
  • RFK Jr is interviewed claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they simply are not adequately tested."
  • It takes aim at pandemic restrictions, saying they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it cites a report that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Controversy and Current Debates

It further cites a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was subsequently the focus of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for violations of guidelines.

Last month, Kennedy directed the Centers for Disease Control to change its official position that there is no link between immunizations and autism. This supposed link is echoed in the documentary, contrary to a new report from the World Health Organisation stating no connection has been found.

A Previous Position of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the film's narrative, Neeson has previously expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in lately has lost sight of how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

"Plague of Corruption" ends with Neeson's narration proclaiming, "This is not the end of our story. It is the start of a fresh chapter."
